These are some reviews of the album:
Snap, Cracknell and Pop
“Vic Cracknell is a bit of a gem. Thanks to him and his “open mic” nights, up and coming musicians in the local area can have a go at performing in front of a live audience. He also performs locally himself – if there is a local music festival you can be pretty sure Vic will be behind the mic at some point.
And now he has brought out an album Nowhere To Somewhere. This is a friendly accessible, and (for the most part) happy album which is firmly inthe Easy Listening category. There are upbeat numbers like Six Stops On The Tube which reminds us to stop rushing so much; quieter reflective ones – Quiet Contemplation, A Time For Us To Love; every-day (and slightly banal) ones such as It’s A Song; and a poignant reminder of the personal tragedy of war in Never Again which remembered Vic’s own grandfather. The whole album has a warm personal feel and a sense that Vic is a man who enjoys what he is doing. And as the best track on the album says Life’s Better When The Sun Shines.”
Farnham Herald Album Review - 18th June 2010
"I think your album is great! Some really strong tracks, flows really well and is so easy to listen to - great for driving. Well done."
John Wilson (Upbeat Beatles)
“Vic Cracknell is a talented and very versatile musician and this is very evident in his brand new album, where every track is different and indeed as good as the last one. Take for instance 'Six Stops On The Tube', an incredibly catchy and infectious uptempo number guaranteed to get those toes and fingers tapping and a great driving tune! Another great toe-tapping tune is 'Do It Today', a very strong and melodic song which would not be out of place in the top ten chart. By contrast, take "A Time For Us To Love' a slow and memorable song with meaningful lyrics and a very anthemic feel. 'Nowhere To Somewhere' by Vic Cracknell is one of those rare albums where every track is likeable and a demonstration of this talented musician's songcraft, not forgetting the excellent contributions from some of Vic's musical friends which add different elements of quality to this already outstanding collection of songs.”
David Durrant – Brooklands FM radio station
"Vic - just wanted to say how much I'm liking the album - had a long car journey this week and listened to it twice through. Proper pop songs on which Tim's done a superb job with the production, nice and tight and it really draws the listener in. Great cast of musicians, all played with class and poise. Backing vocals are a highlight. Track 5 and 11 the favourites at the moment.
Cheers.

"Lovely, gentle, and subtle....the mix is very sophisticated, It's a Song is possibly my favourite for just being so jolly lovely and beautifully written. The sentiment throughout the whole album is really heartwarming. WELL DONE VIC!

Hello Vic
"Great album!! I particularly liked no 1 and no 11 - Lee has it now and can't remember the names of them (or the lyrics of our own songs - or my name most of the time!). I really liked the piano on the tracks too! The production is brilliant - where did you record it?
Jude
"Got up early to listen to the new 'Vic Cracknell' album, Excellent it is too. The stand out track for me would be 'Never Again'. The way it builds from solo piano into marching drums and trumpet is quite moving...."
Mark Buck
"Fantastic collection of heart-warming, positive songs, full of subtle nuances and something for everyone - songs to drive to in the summer's sun, ballads to cuddle up to, blues, soul, pop, dancy songs and songs to chill out to. And ALL of them are so catchy you'll be singing them all in no time! :)"
